India announced squads for Australia ODI series:

Recently, India won the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka and announced a three-match ODI series with Australia from September 22 to September 27. Captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the squad for the Australia ODI series on Monday.

ODI series

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandey will rest for the first two matches and play on September 27. Ravichandran Ashwin got a chance in the squad, and KL Rahul will lead India for the first two matches in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma and vice captain Hardik Pandey.

Hard luck for Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra chahal

Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal were not selected for the ODI series and were also both ignored in the Cricket World Cup squad. Rituraj Gaikwad and Ravichandran Ashwin got a chance to replace them, but both are not named in the World Cup squad. Rituraj Gaikwad will lead India in Asian games in 2023 in China, and Aswin can be involved in the World Cup squad or as a backup.
