Domestic career

He made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Vidarbha team on 25 February 2017.
Made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 17 November 2017.

U-19 Career

He has had a successful career at the Under-19 level, including captaining the team in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is considered one of the most promising young cricketers in India and has already made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and made his debut for the Indian national team in the ODI series against New Zealand in 2019.

IPL Career

Shubman Gill made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in 2018 for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
