Suryakumar Yadav (born 14 September 1990) is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Mumbai cricket team in Indian domestic cricket and the Mumbai Indians team in IPL.

Surya Kumar Yadav Biography
Yadav’s family is from Hathoda village of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. His father moved from Ghazipur to Mumbai for a job at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center. At that time Yadav was 10 years old. Surya learned this game while playing in the streets of Varanasi. At the age of 10, his father noticed Surya’s enthusiasm for the game and enrolled him in a cricket camp at BARC Colony in Anushakti Nagar. He then went to former international cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar’s ALF Vengsarkar Academy and played age-group cricket in Mumbai. He is an alumnus of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science.
On 7 July 2016, Surya Kumar Yadav married Devisha Shetty.

After realizing that Suryakumar had the skill and talent for the game, his father enrolled him in a cricket camp at BARC Colony in Chembur. At the age of 12, he went to the Alf Vengsarkar Academy where he received guidance from former Indian great Dilip Vengsarkar.

Suryakumar made his List A debut for his home state Mumbai against Gujarat on 11 February 2010 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played a quickfire inning of 41 runs in 37 balls and was the second highest scorer of the match.
A few months later, he made his T20 debut for Mumbai against Hyderabad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He got out on the score of 5 and the team had to face a big defeat of 7 wickets.

Ahead of the 2014–15 Ranji season, Mumbai named Suryakumar as the captain of the team. Despite scoring 487 runs at 53.88, Suryakumar relinquished the captaincy after Mumbai lost by an innings and 44 runs to Tamil Nadu. The Mumbai batsman said that he wants to concentrate on his batting after giving up the captaincy.
The Mumbai star batsman was reinstated as the captain of the team a week before the start of the team’s 2019-20 season. The decision came as a surprise after the flamboyant batsman was dropped from the team last season.
